Enchanted Kingdom. He interprets the happy parts of the trip as encouragements, and the hazards as trials and lessons in faith designed by the king of the Enchanted Kingdom. However, the other traveller does not believe this way at all. Instead, he sees the trip as a confused and chaotic situation. He has no choice in the matter and must enjoy the good and endure the sorrow and pain. Tnere is no Enchanted Kingdom for him to reach. Only the road itself exists, and that is all he knows.

As the journey goes on, the issue between them is not an experimental one. They do not consider their different mindsets about the road ahead. When they finally do reach the ultimate objective at the end of the trail, it will be readily observed that one of them has been right all the time and the other was wrong. Consequently, although the issue between them has not been experimental, it has been a real problem. Their opposed interpretations of the situation have consisted of genuinely rival assertions, whose assertion-status has the sinular quality of being guaranteed retrospectively by a future disclosure.
