The marketing mix refers to activities that a company such as AABC can control to generate the desired response or responses from its target market. One aspect of the marketing mix is the product mix. Currently, AABC has three major product lines which are: Alcoholic beer, Non-alcoholic beer, and Soft drinks. The company could decide not to product alcoholic beverages. Instead, it could focus more of its manufacturing, sales and marketing efforts toward soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers.

AABC's primary strength is its market position. Its biggest weakness is inefficient operations that have never been tested in a competitive business environment. Opportunities at AABC include the chance to operate independently and without government control of day-to-day activities. The biggest threat to AABC comes from competitors that may elect either to export beer into Egypt or to brew the beer in new manufacturing facilities that will be located in Egypt. If one or more competitors build breweries in Egypt, AABC could find itself in a difficult position since its production facilities are not modern and therefore are likely not to be as efficient or profitable as a new brewery.

Environmental Aspects; Demographics: According to the CIA World Factbook online, Egypt has a population estimated at 77,505,756 in July of 2005 and a population growth rate of 1.78 percent with an average life expectancy of 71 years. Approximately 94 percent of the population of Egypt is Muslim, with Coptic Christians accounting for another 6 percent of the population. Purchasing power parity per capital is approximately $4,200 and the real growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is 4.5 percent per year. There are about 21 million people in the labor force.
