To preserve political stability and to promote desirable national objectives, thus, the issue of the relationship between the functioning of the mass media in Qatar and the pursuit of national development objectives should be explored. The findings of the research that will be performed for the proposed study will enable the Qatari government to develop effective strategies for mass media application. Scope and Limitations
The scope of the proposed study extends only to the relationship between the mass media and national development in Qatar. Mass media was defined above as print and electronic media, with no mention of motion picture production as a part of the mass media structure for this study. Although the statement is redundant, it is here stated that motion picture production will not be within the scope of the proposed study.
