The structure of the test divides the 325 items into seven discrete parts. Each of these parts along with the number of items used to measure it and item examples has been briefly summarized in tabular form by Campbell and Hansen (1981). This table is presented on the following page.

Scoring for the SCII is automated and provides the following information: (1) The General Themes scales which provides general information such as the kinds of people the test-taker likes, the kind of activities enjoyed, and the most suitable occupation;

(2) The Administrative Index which provides administrative information relevant to ensuring that errors were not made during testing procedures; (3) The Occupational Interest Scales which provide occupational interest information which is reported in the form of T scores with a mean of 50 and a standard deviation of 10; and (4) The Occupational Scales which provide occupational scale score information assessing the test-taker for each and every occupation measured by the test instrument.
