It is hypothesized that treatment compliance among tuberculosis patients who complete a tuberculosis treatment education program will be higher than treatment compliance among tuberculosis patients not exposed to such a health education program. The contention is that this relationship will be found to exist regardless of the length of treatment regimen, socioeconomic factors, or demographic characteristics, although the researcher recognizes that each of these variables will likely explain variations in treatment compliance among subjects participating in a tuberculosis treatment program as well as among those subjects not exposed to such a program.
