In the conduct of the research for this study, secondary sources of information were relied on exclusively. The data thus collected were obtained from official documents and publications of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), the United Nations, and the United States federal government. Data were also obtained from a wide variety of relevant non governmental studies and articles present in the literature.
