The lack of such a policy in many organizations mandates such an investigation. In light of the growing incidence of workplace violence and its significant cost to employers, it is imperative that management understand the critical need for adopting sound workplace violence policy. This research will explore workplace violence before reviewing the different components of a sound workplace violence policy. Conclusions will then be made followed by recommendations for additional research and recommendations for security managers.
