The lecture then outlined the three main goals of this exercise:
1. Define personal problem solving styles, including the advantages and challenges of each;
2. Define individual behaviors that tend to limit group effectiveness; and,
3. Present opportunities where these new insights can be applied.
The problem solving styles were then explained and discussed with the participants. Participants were then shown the way to graph their own results from their inventory responses. The styles were broken down into four quadrants: Experimenter, Diverger, Converger, and Assimilator. The results are demonstrated in the charts that follow.
