Task Forces annually recover hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property. The success of the Auto Theft program and the Task Forces has ultimately led to lowered automobile insurance costs for Illinois residents.
A recent example of the Task Force’s success is the three month investigation into Interstate Auto Brokers. The investigation was a response to a number of complaints from both buyers and sellers who dealt with the company. Several buyers never received the titles to vehicles they had purchased.
