The old system was fraught with inefficiency, low quality health care and outright unwillingness to adapt. Local Management Boards will now be able to hire and fire their own health care personnel which will mean there is a more localized control of performance. This not only allows for greater management on a local level of health care, but nationally focused health care agencies are now able to help with managed development through strategic planning-now free from micro-management of health care facilities on a macro-level.
