The government listened seriously and the Ministry of Health, lead by Dr. Abdullah Abdulwali Nasher, created the Malaria Control Project in Sanaa in tandem with the Ministry of Construction and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Culture and Irrigation. WHO provided $3,000 towards the effort and ten vehicles have been equipped with specific insecticide-spraying technology to go to ten different malaria infested locations and help with mosquito control (Fighting 4).
