The purpose of this study was to see how effectively the airlines had obeyed a previous regulation that called for the creation of customer service plans. This customer service plan was the result of a previous Department of Transportation (DOT) study that was reported on MSN Money Central by Tom Woodruff.
In that analysis, the increase in customer complaints between 1997 and 1998 were noted, and are presented here in table form.
