The federal noise abatement legislation applicable to airport operation is a type of environmental legislation. The law is partially related to the issue of environmental health because some people have linked high levels of noise to some physical and metal health concerns. The law also is partly linked to environmental pollution, as noise pollution is viewed as a factor that denies people of the right to enjoy their lives and property, and as a factor that may reduce the economic value of their property.
