Funding for undergraduate and graduate school financial aid: The provision of financial aid that is a top priority for the institution has enabled all types of students to attend the institution, regardless of their economic status. First of all, total scholarships and student awards increased by 11 percent during the fiscal year. Second, even though the tuition cost increased by 51 percent from $26,700 to $40,450 per year over the last ten years, the average annual scholarship award increased by 92 percent during the same period. Finally, the expansion of financial aid for students has contributed to the decrease in the median amount of debt among graduating students.

Review and modification of the undergraduate curriculum: To ensure that its students have access to an innovative curriculum, Harvard University has invested tremendous resources in information technologies and expanded its course offerings. For example, the Harvard Graduate School of Education created a pilot course to help students acquire core knowledge and skills in education. In addition, the Graduate school built a Learning Technologies Center to train its students to utilize information technologies in the classroom.
