Most importantly, she possesses the skills and the experience to guide classroom discussions, correct students effectively and knows when and how to utilize the first language to support the learning process. Moreover, the teacher needs to be aware of the different levels of proficiency of students in order to offer the appropriate scaffolding to individual students within a group setting.
