This theory is highly applicable to the two articles. It is evident that there are many racial groups that are frustrated by their inability to make significant progress in their lives. When they or other family members lose their jobs, they become extremely frustrated. However, they do not unleash their frustration directly at their employers who have dismissed them. Instead, they decide to blame their unemployment on other racial groups. Because of the stereotypical image of Asian Americans as the model minority, other racial groups attribute their loss to the gains made by the Asian Americans.
