The major problem with any sort of sex education in school is the belief (especially by fundamental Christians) that sex education belongs in the home, not the school. Nevertheless, it will take more than education (even at an early age level) to promote a fair equal rights act for homosexuals, individuals as well as couples. My proposal and preference is to make homosexuality a topic in sex education and to promote fair treatment professionally, financially, and socially, as long as it becomes clear that homosexuals are not dangerous to neighborhoods or communities. In a time when we tend to see a terrorist around every corner, safeguarding our families, neighborhoods and nation should not include dismissing the rights and aspiration of Americans who are gay or lesbian.
