SUBJECT: ANALYSIS OF COMMUTER SURVEY DATA

Pursuant to you instructions, survey data from the Commuter file for Oklahoma State University were analyzed. The analysis focused on the objectives of question three of Case 3: University Van Pool. These objectives were to demonstrate an ability to perform descriptive statistics using the SPSS program. In performing the descriptive statistics, the three outcomes sought were (1) an overview of the student-commuting situation at Oklahoma State University, (2) an understanding of student attitudes toward commuting at Oklahoma State University, and (3) a demographic profile of the students responding to the Commuter survey.

The results of the analysis are presented as a combination of tabular, graphical, and narrative information. The results are presented in the following three sections of this memo, each of which deals with one of the three outcomes (see above) sought.
