These recommendations will be incorporated into a second draft of the instruments which will then be pilot tested at a similar school for ease of completion and understandability. The pilot test population will consist of six teachers involved in team teaching as well as three students, one from the sixth grade, one from the seventh grade, and one from the eighth grade. The results of the pilot test will be used to develop third and final drafts of both instruments.
The first step in the data gather process will be to send a letter (See: Appendix C) to the Director of Research, Evaluation and Planning asking for permission to conduct a survey in the Muscogee County School at the middle school level. Upon receiving consent from the district director, the researcher will mail a letter to the Marshall middle school principle asking for permission to conduct a survey of teachers and students regarding the team teaching approach (See: Appendix D)
