Since the groups formed early in the class term, I was not familiar with many of the other students and would have been unlikely to make necessarily better choices regarding the students with whom I would work well. I also recognized that in a work situation, I would not always be able to choose my co-workers, and developing good group skills is important to my career. However, I retained some resentment since my grade was dependent on the ultimate behavior of the group, and I felt a loss of control over what that behavior would be compared to working alone.
