In the 1920s GE joined AT&T and Westinghouse in a radio broadcasting joint venture, Radio Corporation of America (RCA). In 1930, GE sold off its RCA holdings based on an antitrust ruling (one of 65 antitrust actions against GE between 1911 and 1967)(Greenwald, 1994, 56).

Revenues increased sixfold from 1940 to 1952. GE entered the computer industry in 1956 (but sold the unit to Honeywell in 1970 because of operating losses).
