Italy and Switzerland are countries of significantly different geographic size and population levels. Each country, however, has a flourishing hotel industry. The absenteeism problem in the hotel industry is considered separately for each of the countries.
Italy is a country of more than 300,440 square kilometers of territory.1 Geographically, the country may be divided into four parts.
