These problems tend to stress single mothers. Fathers tend not to be as much an economic detriment as mothers. This is not a chauvinistic statement. Chances are, except for death or serious illness (such as mental incapacities) women tend to have custody of minor children. It is women who, not experienced in the job market, must rely on low-wage jobs, welfare, food stamps, or other means of state and federal government support.
