The current push for charters schools, vouchers, and other forms of privatization are evidence of the fact that the public is willing to entertain the notion of entrepreneurship in the public sector. According to Kourilsky and Walstad (2000; 2005), the key to making a successful transition to this way of thinking and operating is by integrating what is known about entrepreneurship with the unique context of the public sector.
