P.J. Hogan's 1997 romantic comedy film My Best Friend's Wedding, revolved around two friends, Michael O'Neal played by Dermot Mulroney and Julianne "Jules" Potter played by Julia Roberts. They made a pact to marry each other if they were not engaged by the time they reach the age of twenty-eight.
