Other major actors stakeholders in the United States government anti-drug effort in Latin America includes American weapons manufacturers. Four-fifths of the arms purchased by Latin American drug kingpins are produced and sold by American manufacturers. The other major actors stakeholders also included major American chemical manufacturers. Chemical products manufacturers in the United States supply Latin American drug laboratories with approximately one-third of the chemicals used in the processing of drug plants into street drugs.
