Because I am financing my education with student loans and financial aid, I have a pressing need to find gainful employment as soon as possible after graduation in order to begin repaying my obligations (and because my funding ends when my education does). This puts some pressure on me that may not be on other candidates in that I may end up accepting a job rather than choosing a career from financial pressure.
Another weakness that I have is that I am an immigrant to the United States. Although I am a legal immigrant and therefore eligible to work, my English is accented. I have already anglicized my name in order to facilitate native-English speakers, and most people with whom I communicate do not have difficulty understanding my speech. However, there are some problems which arise when I speak with other immigrants; this is likely to continue in the financial services industry in California as there is a large immigrant population.
