Frequently I seemed to know when a patient needed to be checked. I would walk in just as they were trying to get out of bed by themselves to go to the bathroom; their B/P was dropping; oxygen was off for too long or they were having an anxiety attack and didn't want to call me. A few times the patients knew I would know. They would say, " I knew you would come".
