Goals of Martin Luther King, Jr. & Malcolm X

g was only fifteen years old when he began attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, but was successful, earning a B.A. in Sociology (Lischer 30). After Morehouse, King studied at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, where he intensified his study in theology and learned about Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of utilizing non-violent protest to bring about social changes. King was a stellar student at Crozer, and earned a fellowship for graduate study at the school of his choice (Lischer 32). Boston University was his destination, and his course of study was Systematic Theology, in which he earned his Ph.D. in June 1955 (Lisher 35).
