the Chancellor regarding temporary suspension of the teacher's license or certificate while the review is completed; a copy of this request is also sent to the Executive Director. The Office of Appeals and Reviews will then arrange for a Technical Assistance Conference with the Office of Legal Services and time, place, and date of the meeting will be arranged. The principal will attend the Conference and facts with supporting documents will be presented to determine if the matter should proceed further. The recommendation to terminate the teacher will either be accepted or not.
If accepted the Chancellor will present reasons for termination and a statement of intent. The teacher will then receive written reasons for termination prior to a review of this decision. The teacher will have 15 school days to appeal the termination decision. Timely appeal will result in the decision being reviewed at the as prescribed by section 5.3.4 of the bylaws of the Board of Education to include collective bargaining agreement provisions that are applicable.
