3. What changes in contemporary performance appraisal processes are required to best promote superior employee performance in the contemporary and evolving future work environments?

Research hypotheses were formulated in relation to each of the research questions. These hypotheses were stated as follows:

1. It is hypothesized that contemporary performance evaluation processes are reinforcing negative employee attitudes toward the organization.
