A finding of no significant correlation between productivity and either or both compensation and job autonomy will enable USPS management to better assess the organizational role of these factors, and to devote their energies to the investigation of other strategies which may lead to productivity improvement.
The findings and conclusions of the proposed research study will be limited by the fact that the research sample will not be drawn from the entire population of USPS employees. The population from which the research sample will be drawn will be comprised of the employees of a single USPS Service Center.
