Reason - the Age of Enlightenment improvement on the basic Judeo-Christian tenets that guide Western culture. It is surprising that "modern" humankind looks backward three centuries to rely so heavily upon such a limited perspective of life. Enlightenment thinkers had no knowledge of other wisdoms, only an overriding chauvinism in their own ability to "out-reason" other cultures. Reason and pride: you would think that by now, particularly after the tragedies of 20th Century warfare, everyone would recognize the simple fact that Reason has never had the power to sift the wrong from the right.
Science - just gives us more half-truths to justify those who might not care to share the power, might not care to share the rights, might not care to judge themselves in any moral sense of the word. Science is a tool, a valuable tool, but nothing more.
