Georgia,ö golf writer Curt Sampson reviewed oral history interviews with Augusta National co-founder Charles de Clifford Roberts Jr. and found an instance where Roberts noted helping President Dwight Eisenhower with ôwoman troubleö surrounding an alleged mistress. Thus, many of the clubÆs members are the executive heads of publicly held companies that are barred by the U.S. Constitution from practicing the exclusionary membership practices of Augusta National and the political officials charged with making laws that support the Constitution.
