It must be developed to meet the social, cultural, historical, and economic needs of the times. These influence drive new technologies into the curriculum and the classroom. Educators must understand the best use of the new technologies and to do this, they themselves must become computer literate. Thus integrating technology into the curriculum and the classroom involves teacher participation and perceptions of what is needed (Goddard, 2002).
