c. Identify all paths. Which path is the critical path?

To view path identifications, open the attached MSP file, and select "Gantt" under the "View" dropdown menu. To view the Critical Path, (1) select "More Views" under the "View" dropdown menu, and (2) then select "Detail Gantt" under "More Views". The Critical Path is a-b-f-h-i.

d. Calculate the slack for each activity

To view the slack for each activity, open the attached MSP file, and (1) select "More Views" under the "View" dropdown menu, and (2) then select "Detail Gantt" under "More Views". Slack for each activity was defined as the difference between EST and LST. Slack was "0" for activities a, b, c, d, f, h, and i. Slack was 5 days for activity e, and 4 days for activity g.

e. How long will it take to complete the project?

The project will begin on 4 March 2005 and end on 1 April 2005 (inclusive). The inclusive period is 29 days; however, 8 non-work (weekend) days are included, reducing the work days for project completion to 21 days.
