Jimmy's wife talks to her, and it is evident that these women expect the men to hit them from time to time and that the answer they have for this sort of violence is to turn and walk away until the males change mood. The males tend not to fight among themselves except in business situations---negotiations often erupt into shoving matches and games of intimidation. Much of the time, this sub-culture seems to be an extension of adolescence in older bodies, and these young people act a good deal like children in a schoolyard. What separates them from the schoolyard is the fact that they are stealing in the real world, that they have little regard for any authority, and that they are more and more on the edge of turning to real violence and the use of the guns they are selling.
