Rasmussen and Eisen (1992) reviewed current knowledge of the epidemiology and clinical features of obsessive-compulsive disorder, focusing on its phenomenologic heterogeneity and its comorbidity with other Axis I and Axis II disorders. In their discussion of clinical features associated with age, the authors noted that ten traits were commonly found in OCD children, the most common of which were separation anxiety, risk aversion, submissiveness, and perfectionism.
