A recent study found 206 cases of direct discrimination-employment and insurability problems that were due to unauthorized use of information (Rindfleisch, 1997, 95-96).

Caring for the terminally ill in the home raises many issues. Home care may include "respirators and total parenteral nutrition in the home, technologically dependent children, technologies that provide intravenous access, pain control, hydration, nutrition, drug infusion, and respiratory care for cancer patients, and long-term, high-tech care for HIV Infection/AIDS patients" (Jecker, 1996, 554).
