1. Do you have any current physical health problems and if so, do you receive services for those problems? A total of 40 (40 percent of all subjects stated that they have some type of physical health problem whereas only 30 (30 percent) indicated that they are receiving services for those problems at the present time.
2. Do you have any psychological or emotional problems and do you receive any services for these problems? A total of 34 (34 percent indicated that they felt they had psychological or emotional problems. However, only 12 or 12 percent indicated that they were receiving services for these problems.
3. Do you ever use the following services (check all that apply)
Food pantries/soup kitchens 91/91%
Job training/placement centers 19/19%
Drug/alcohol abuse treatment centers 33/33%
Attitudinal Statements and Survey Items
For the next series of statements, subjects were asked to use a five point Likert Scale to indicate level of agreement or disagreement and/or the importance of each statement as it reflected their attitudes. The Scale was:
2 = Somewhat Agree/Somewhat Important
4 = Somewhat Disagree/Somewhat Unimportant
5 = Strongly Disagree/Very Unimportant
