At the same time, however, the existence of Sunset Boulevard as a major thoroughfare of greater Los Angeles means that the northern edge of Brentwood serves as a pathway or major channel of east west movement to and from human activity.
To be sure, all of the boundaries of Brentwood generate pathways or corridors of human activity, inasmuch as Sunset Boulevard on the north, the San Vicente Federal intersection on the east, Wilshire on the East Southeast, and 26th Street on the west (which is an example of a "soft edge" of western Brentwood), are all major streets of access from one part of the west side to another.
