Women are the same species as men, but they are not men. They have different genitalia, different biological functions, different hormones, and different chromosomes. The medical community has only recently begun to acknowledge such differences in its admission that the results of drug tests and other medical research which have been conducted principally using subjects of one sex do not necessarily apply to the other.

The physical manifestations of being female are powerfully affected by misogyny. Richard Von Krafft-Ebing, in his patronizing and astonishingly misogynistic tract, Psychopathia Sexualis, describes his view of female fashion:
