We create groups of people through HOG chapters, and they make the rides and meet other chapters. We create hangout places, and places to meet through HOG and national bike events. We give them reasons to ride. Our customers are actively engaged with the brand and almost half of Harley owners have taken part in at least one of our major rallies or riding events (24).
It seems unlikely that a local HOG chapter would have more than a couple of members that could afford the time and money to take several weeks to complete a Posse Ride such as the Lower 48. However, even if only one member of a local HOG association goes on a Posse Ride, he or she will have stories to tell that will almost certainly increase HOG members love for riding motorcycles.
