There are other minor parties that attempt to play a role in the legal-political system in Sri Lanka. These include the Ceylon WorkerÆs Congress (CWC) and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC).

Both the exclusivity and the win-lose dynamic of the governing mentality in the traditional ruling parties in Sri Lanka are part of the central analytical theme that will be explored in this research.
