Once the audience is located, the means to reach the audience successfully are much easier to develop.

There are many legal and ethical considerations that must be considered when developing any type of marketing plan. First, of course, is honesty. False claims about the product or deceptive advertising practices such as bait-and-switch tactics are both illegal and unethical. Deliberately failing to make the consumer aware of safety issues or other risks associated with the product can precipitate lawsuits in which the manufacturer is liable for damages incurred by the consumer.
