Kurt Lewin's Influence: Analysis of His Life and Work and How They Were Influenced by Anti-Semitism

Marrow (1969) maintains that Lewin directed much of his research toward unraveling the causes of group interactions and the forces that shaped group productivity and the adoption of prejudices, stereotypes, and biases. Marrow (1969, p. 204) stated that Lewin held that "if universities were required by law to admit students on merit and not on the basis of race or religion, the practice would bring new and more favorable attitudes." He also thought that prejudice caused discrimination and did not result from it.

Methodologically, said Marrow (1969), Lewin conceived that the CCI would develop strategies for bringing about changes within groups and then put these strategies into action.
