Students taking mediated learning courses are more likely to have higher scores on a final examination than those attending traditionally-taught classes; mean final examination test scores are increased as much as 0.50 to 0.75 standard deviation units. Campuses implementing Interactive Algebra I and II (mediated learning) demonstrate that a greater percentage of students who take mediated learning courses prior to taking precalculus, earn grades of C and above.
