resents from time to time. The book devotes four chapters to the project of understanding or at least being able to recognize distinct personality types, then proceeds to enhancement of skills that will allow managers to communicate and manipulate effectively.

The series of graphical representations of learning styles (accommodator, diverger, converger, assimilator) might be useful to a manager who is trying to identify personality types within his staff. But a more practical application of the project of making such identifications is that they may help the manager allocate duties to existing staff or evaluate job candidates (internal or external) on the basis of the qualities they appear to bring to the work situation. Equally, identifying learning styles and matching them, as far as possible, to one's existing staff may enable them to see and fulfill the needs of a given project and improve their own and the organization's productivity (p. 30).
