According to the IT manager inside CPS, outsourcing of IT-related business processes had the desired effect of enabling CPS to focus on "core operations" and at the same time allowing CPS to benefit from the savings in outlay for capital-intensive equipment and personnel. The Integris/CPS contract appears to confirm the benefits of outsourcing selected components of public-education administration and management, such as those that are entirely technology driven.
