The research method adopted in this research study is derived from the phenomenological approach. As described succinctly by van Manen (1990), phenomenology involves an investigation of a phenomenon by collecting information or stories directly from individuals who have experienced the phenomenon. This researcher will use semi-structured interviews to obtain the narratives from younger male therapists and then interpret the information and stories to determine their implications for the topic under investigation.
